Christmas 2009

Family and Friends,

Beckham was born on November 17th. He is adored by his older siblings and parents. Candice dresses him like a handsome little man and he doesn't fuss too much about it! We really see similarities between him and Brooklyn in how they both look and how alert he seems to be at such a young age.

Bailey is now 1 1/2 years old and is really developing into her own personality. She is just on the verge of talking and we feel that once she starts, she won't know how to stop. Bailey usually likes to do what her sister does but I've noticed that she really is a little daredevil. I often find her pulling a chair up next to the arm of the couch and then diving over the other side and dismounting for a perfect landing onto her feet on the ground. I think God has an extra guardian angel assigned to her safety!

Brooklyn celebrated her 4th birthday on November 21st. She loves drawing pictures and coloring. She also likes helping her mom and dad with everything whether it be cooking, sweeping, hammering nails with dad, or getting the mail. She has a lot of self-confidence which gives her no set limits on what she can do in life. She believes she is the best at everything and when she loses, she takes it very tough. We believe that competitive spirit will help her much in life as long as she learns how to handle losing at times.

Candice and I are enjoying every minute of our young family right now. Candice stays at home with the kids and is working with Brooklyn on prepping her for school. I still continue to work for Regence BlueCross BlueShield and have now been there for 4 1/2 years since I graduated from college. Candice and I both have very great sets of parents that don't need too much arm-bending to watch the kids every once in a while. In the last year Candice and I have become more involved in some church ministries that allow us to get some time together a bit and reflect on how blessed we are as parents.

Solomon is now 6 years old and is excited to have a little boy in the house to play with. I envision in a few years seeing he and Beckham outside digging holes in the yard and playing fetch together...a boy and his dog.

Miss Bianca is our newest family member, a hamster that we got for the girls recently. We are trying to get her tamed down a little more so she isn't so skiddish when we hold her. The girls love playing with her though and they do a good job of protecting her from a nosey Solomon.

We hope that you have a great Christmas and that your past year was as blessed as ours!
